If you’re using a device powered by Chrome OS, you might be using the Secure Shell App for Google Chrome to manage remote systems. I was using this today, and needed to paste some text into the remote terminal. On a Windows keyboard, you could use shift insert to do this, but the Chrome keyboard doesn’t have an Insert key. Instead, it turns out that CTRL + SHIFT + V works to paste text.
If you’re specifically pasting text into a Vim session, you might need to run the below command first.
